Brass Ensemble
Department of Music
The ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Department of Music encourages its ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs to develop their relationship to the discipline of music as they explore the world through the lens of a superb liberal arts education.
The ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Brass Ensemble, directed by Jaime Morales, performs a wide variety of styles from music of the Renaissance to original 21st-century music written for brass. The Ensemble’s goal is to provide high-level performing opportunities for ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ brass players and to emphasize the development of strong brass playing fundamentals. The ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Brass Ensemble regularly performs entertaining programs on the Oxford campus as well as in many community outreach venues.
The Ensemble is open to music majors as well as non-music majors through a videotaped audition.
Students interested in Brass Ensemble should contact Professor Douglas Lindsay (lindsad@MiamiOH.edu) for more information.
