Record crowd, a legend returns at One Miami

A record crowd of 10,640 packed Millett Hall on Jan. 31 to cheer on the red-hot RedHawks during One Miami presented by E&H Ace Hardware.

The ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ faithful were treated to a pair of victories as the RedHawks continued their stellar seasons in women’s and men’s basketball. View the , with photos and video, from that historic day.

Miami’s women’s team started the day with a 90-70 win over Ohio University as the RedHawks rolled to a 10-0 record in the Mid-American Conference. Following that victory, the Miami men’s basketball team, ranked No. 23 in the AP ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ 25 poll, defeated Northern Illinois 85-61 to improve to 22-0 (now 23-0 after the RedHawks’ 73-71 win at Buffalo).

Miami honored basketball legend Ron Harper between One Miami games with an honorary degree. Harper, a five-time NBA champion, is the all-time leading scorer in Miami men’s basketball history.
