In Plotting Plants Global Field Program ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ and teacher Megan Menker involved her middle school ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs in tracking invasive species in the local community through the use of research, geocaching technology, posters, presentations and out-of-class activities. From beginning to end, the life science unit spanned two weeks of class time, giving ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs time to engage with the community and gain a greater appreciation for native flora and a heightened awareness of the ecological issues caused by invasive plants in their community.
